In " The Woman Before" Schimmelpfennig is the explorer of light and darker universes of our contemporary identities, where the balance between feminine and masculine is at stake, in an essential confrontation with our values ​​and our deepest aspirations. At the center of the show, a story as old as mankind, and therefore of a constantly renewed modernity: Romy, a former lover of Frank, married almost 20 years with Claudia, knocks on the door of the couple's apartment. She wants to find her first love, the man who promised her 24 years ago, that would love her forever.
