A ILUSÃO CÓMICA
L'Illusion Comique
Pierre Corneille
In four verses Corneille seizes the essence of the theater, the great theater. The theater knows, immerses in the knowledge of men, the universe past things and the premonition of the future. Know and show what you know. Except that illusion is a technical device: it should not be hidden from interested recipients. Never was the great theater intended to deceive whoever it was. It is the duty of the illusion to unravel.
