With Speaking Truth With Lie we return to Almeida Garrett, in an attempt to “reveal” to the viewers, from our practice, the ideas that underlie the dramatic structure of the play and which, in our view, remain surprisingly topical. The romantic author's struggle for revolution in the Letters, in the Portuguese Theater and, why not say so, in national politics, can be read through this comedy of customs, which still shows us today a "faithful portrait" of our idiosyncrasy and our collective living.
